Two Become One

One year ago today I became Mrs. Jordan McEntire. I can't believe we've already been married a year! Time goes by way too fast. This has been the best year of my life and I'm so thankful God blessed me with an incredible husband.

Since May 30, 2009, I knew exactly what I was going to get Billy for our anniversary- his groom cake. We were both so bummed we didn't get any cake at our wedding.
I went by Shelby Lynn's to order a mini version of his cake. I go by Friday to pick it up and it looks delicious. I put a sign on the fridge saying "Don't open fridge". Well, Billy gets home and says he needs to open the fridge. I go in the kitchen and this is what he says "I'm a little nervous about whats in the fridge. I know we can't celebrate our anniversay on Sunday so I thought I'd give you your present early". He moves to the left so I can see what is behind and guess what I see? A SHELBY LYNN'S CAKE BOX. Uh oh! I look at the cake he ordered and it is the EXACT same cake I ordered: 6 inch peanut butter fudge with chocolate covered strawberries on top! Turns out we both ordered the same cake on Tuesday and picked it up Friday planning to surprise each other with an early anniversary present.

I thought the title for this post was perfect and true because apparently we have become one- brain included!
I'll leave you with a few pictures of our wedding

Orders

I'm so bad at taking pictures of orders but I managed to take a few over the last few weeks

Aimee is a great volunteer at Loving Choices and Thursday afternoons are always brighter with her there! She has 4 girlies and is about to have number 5 very soon!
(before I added the 2nd 't')
These were Traci's baby shower gifts from her favorite co-worker :) Jack is 3 and she is about to welcome boy #2 at the end of May.

Its About Time...

Its about time I blog. So much has been going on these last couple of months. Beginning of March, Billy and I went to see LeeAnne Whomack, Reba McEntire, and George Strait in Little Rock...5th row seats on the FLOOR! We could see stray hair on Reba and Billy and George made eye contact. It was an amazing concert.
We traveled to Dallas the end of March to visit Dallas Theological Seminary. Billy's parents were in Dallas that weekend for market so we were able to spend some quality time with them.

Billy was accepted into DTS last week, which means....we are moving to Dallas in...8 WEEKS!
The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy for the McEntire fam. This is what May and June are going to look like for the McEntires:
1. Find a place to live in Dallas
2. Find a full-time job for me, part-time for Billy
3. Welcome our niece Stella into world
4. Pack up our apartment and put everything in storage
5. Go to Florida with the in-laws for a McEntire vacation (if oil spill allows)
6. Say goodbye to family & friends, and hit the road for Dallas

Am I stressed? To be honest, not at all...but I probably should be

Paint, Paint, Paint

This weekend I finished up wedding party tee's for Miss Brittany Roland. She has 3 'lil ring bearers and a flower girl and she wanted me to paint them t-shirts.

Brittany's son, Brody, is turning 2 soon so I painted him a birthday shirt. Brittany said he is really into music right now...
Happy Birthday Brody!

A sweet family friend, Linda Miller, wanted me to paint Valentine onesies for her granddaughter's American Girl dolls, baby Rose and baby Caroline. How cute is that?!

Happy Valentines Day Miss Anna Grace!

Valentine

To me, Valentines Day has always been just another day. My husband and I are keeping our spending to a minimum so we promised each other no spending money on v day. Friday, I spent my morning getting groceries and oh my gosh Walmart was crazy with last minute valentine shoppers. I couldn't even get to the valentine cards because there were so many looking at them. SO, my mom suggested I make him a card. I surprised him friday night with chili (his request) and homemade chocolate covered strawberries (his favorite).

He woke up to homemade cinnamon buns baking away in the oven saturday morning and woke up this morning to his favorite candy, sour patch kids. All in all, my valentines day to him was very simple. BUT Mr. Billy McEntire went all out (for us anyway). I spent my saturday finishing up a few tee's and was told we had to be out the door by 5:15. I was told to wear a dress and nothing else. McEntire was decked out....he had on black slacks, a light purple button down shirt, and suspenders! He. was. smokin'. I drove us to our secret destination...shogun. I've never been to shogun (sad, I know) and oh my gosh it is sooo good. Sarah and Garland met us for dinner there, neither of us girls knew we were meeting up with each other. After dinner the boys surprised with DANCING!!! Billy even packed flats for me. We went up to Bella Vista and ballroom danced the night away...a perfect valentines day.

And I didn't take one single picture....ugh, I could punch myself.

One word: Jillian

Three posts in one day...this is big for me ha. Actually, I've been meaning to blog for a couple days now but haven't found the time to do it. Me and 2 girls in my community group Elizabeth-Bella's Life and Kara-Life in the Ville are doing Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred. Kara told me about it and when she said it was only 20 minutes I got pretty pumped. I like working out once it's over and when I see fast results. Ridiculous, I know, but I can't help it. I used to enjoy running but now I really can't stand it...tried P90X with the fam and lasted 4 weeks ha. But Jillian's workout is only 20 minutes and I literally walked without bending my knees the first morning after the workout because my calves were that sore. There are 3 levels and 3 intervals with each level. I'm still doing level 1 and just finished my 4th workout. It's 3 min. of strength, 2 of cardio, and 1 of abs. Level 1 is a lot easier now but I'm still trying to master interval 3 strength training so I haven't moved on to level 2. I upped my weights today and definitely felt like jello afterward. Our community group is planning a beach trip this summer so I'm praying that will keep me focused and disciplined and I'll be nice and toned for summer.
